About the Event
Going back to where it started! The first ever Tullio meet-up ride was in the Peaks last year. Now we're back in 2021 and this time we're official, with offical partners. We'll be tackling a different route this time, that actually skirts the Peak District, starting and ending at Cubley Hall, Penistone - just out of Sheffield. There will be breakfast items available on arrival and with some nutrition products provided. We'll visit a couple of cafes along the route and we've got tables booked at Cubley Hall after for food and drinks into the afternoon/evening over plenty of chat! (If you're looking to stay over, Cubley Hall has rooms that you can book - it's also a wedding venue, so check out their website)
These rides are about experiencing bucket list routes whilst getting the chance to meet new people. Networking is part and parcel, but as cyclists we're likely to meet new friends for life. We will ride in groups of no more than 6 in a bit of a chaingang rotation, giving you the chance to speak to everyone in your mini peloton. We'll all meet up at the cafe stops but will also look to mix up the groups where possible.
There will be groups of differing pace depending on numbers, so don't worry if you're a novice or a pro, as long as you can get round. No one gets left behind!
This is a challenging route that starts in the picturesque market town of Penistone. Just to the north of the Peaks we will head West to take on the famous Holme Moss before descending back down. From here we'll head South to take on the 'Strines' the same way the Tour de France did! We'll then loop round back down to Bradfield, which also played host to the Tour, and head North again via a steady climb. Holmes Moss is the closest type of climb you'll get over here to some of the Alpine ones we see in the Tour de France, just much smaller. However, it still tests the legs. The Strines are also famous across the UK for literally being one of the best cycling roads in the land. You feel like you're someplace else and the silky smooth tarmac twists left and right, up and down. We're looking forward to this one!
Tullio rides stem from networking on the bike for business leaders & senior professionals. Many people invest personally, but why not sign up through your business or expense to your employer if you can; just as you would with a golf day...? At the same time we're also a cycling 'club' for these same business folk. So you can simply come to meet friends and experience awesome days out in the saddle together.
See you there!
