About the Event

We hope that this ride through what used to be the Forest of Arden will surprise and delight you. The, largely flat, route should be a joy to ride. But there are a few climbs along the way to spice things up.

It starts and finishes just South of Birmingham – close to Junction 3 on the M42 – and follows quiet lanes through beautiful countryside along the Worcestershire/Warwickshire border to the Cotswolds and back. We'll stop for lunch at 60 km in the quintessentially pretty Cotswold town of Chipping Campden before heading back to the Limes Country Lodge Hotel, which is hosting the event.

The Limes Country Lodge Hotel is a great place to stay if you prefer to stop over the night before or after the ride. It can also provide hot drinks and pastries before the ride and a meal on our return in the afternoon. Nutrition and ride fule is provided by us, as well as the cafe stop.

The route is a mix of rolling hills, flat sections, and a few power climbs. The highlight for climbers is an accent of Dovers Hill, which is 1.7 km with an average gradient of 10% and maximum gradient of 14%. Dovers Hill is one of Simon Warren’s “100 Greatest Cycling Climbs”. The other climbs are ‘short and sweet’ and well-spaced out – with plenty of time to recover inbetween. The rest is just perfect, mid-summer cycling terrain.

These rides are about experiencing bucket list routes whilst getting the chance to meet new people. Networking is part and parcel, but as cyclists we're likely to meet new friends for life. We will ride in groups of no more than 6 in a bit of a chaingang rotation, giving you the chance to speak to everyone in your mini peloton. We'll all meet up at the cafe stops but will also look to mix up the groups where possible.

There will be groups of differing pace depending on numbers, so don't worry if you're a novice or a pro, as long as you can get round. No one gets left behind! Networking is better at a steady pace.

Tullio rides stem from networking on the bike for business leaders & senior professionals. Many people invest personally, but why not sign up through your business or expense to your employer if you can; just as you would with a golf day...? At the same time we're also a cycling 'club' for these same business folk. So you can simply come to meet friends and experience awesome days out in the saddle together.
